Santa Claus is all about myth and the powerful grip these mythical characters have over societies. Religion is a great place for positive energy and support, but it is too often and easily corrupted. This song stands for a lack of faith in faith. Basically Santa Claus says, believe what you will, but you can’t push that shit on me cause I study history. We play with the imagery of a drunk driving Santa who totes guns and will not end his treachery for no man or morality. This song asks of humanity to trust and find harmony within oneself, for that is worthy of sharing. The claim here is: one’s good morals and deeds should come from inside oneself, not from fear of a higher being, otherwise the good deeds or morals become finite.
